Summary of Duties:

The Coordinator of Global Education is a full-time position within the Office of Global Education.  This position provides administrative and logistical support to the office with close direction from the Associate Provost for Global Education; will assist in the coordination of the office transportation needs, student housing, and orientations; plan program events/trips; assist students as needed; support departmental staff members; support Academic Affairs with grants and sponsored research; and will problem solve as required.

  • Experience in higher education and/or cross-cultural programming, advising, or counseling is preferred.

Essential Elements:

  • As a direct report to the Associate Provost for Global Education, this position will assist in related tasks and is supportive of all responsibilities in this area
  • Coordinates all logistical needs of the programs, including, but not limited to, student housing arrangements, all details of transportation, and scheduling of classroom space
  • Assists in document gathering and processing of information as it is related to international student visa status
  • Handles all purchasing of materials and supplies as they apply to incoming international students

ABLE Grant

  • The English as a Second Language (ESL) Instructor will be responsible for teaching one or more classes as part of the ESL program offered by ÌÇÐÄapp both on campus and at community sites. This includes assessing students and planning lessons in alignment with the Pennsylvania Department of Education curriculum and ÌÇÐÄapp.  The ideal candidate will have the ability to motivate and retain adult ESL learners, and must be able to communicate and collaborate effectively with outside agencies, students, and administrative staff.  The ESL Instructor is responsible to the Adult Basic Literacy Education (ABLE) Program Director and ESL Coordinator under the supervision of the Assistant to the Provost of Research and Sponsored Programs. 
  • Position requires flexibility in work schedule to accommodate classes that are offered in both the day and evening. In addition to instructional classes, program professional development is mandatory for all staff. Travel to off-site locations for instruction may be necessary and required.  Hours and terms of weeks per year are determined by the availability of State and Federal funding.

The English Program in the Marywood Department of Communication, Language, and Literature seeks Adjunct Instructors to teach first year composition classes, first year literature, and upper-level writing courses, ideally in person. Summary of Duties

The International Student Activity Coordinator is a part-time position within the Office of Global Education. This position provides administrative and logistical support to the office with close direction from the Associate Provost for Global Education; will coordinates travel arrangements for student-related field trips and site visits in accordance with College policies and procedures; will assist in the coordination of student housing, and orientations; plan program events/trips; assist students as needed; support departmental staff members.

Educational Requirements

Work Experience Requirements

Essential Elements

  • As a direct report to the Associate Provost for Global Education, this position will assist in related tasks and is supportive of all responsibilities in this area

      The Adult Basic Literacy Education Instructors will be responsible for teaching one or more classes as part of the ABLE program offered at ÌÇÐÄapp. This includes assessing students, remote and face-to-face instruction, and planning lessons in alignment with the ABLE curriculum. The ideal candidate will have the ability to motivate and retain learners and must be able to communicate and collaborate effectively with outside agencies, students, and administrative staff. The ABLE Instructor is responsible for the Adult Basic Literacy Education (ABLE) Program Director and the ABLE Coordinators. The instructor will teach adult learners in a variety of content areas.


      Required Qualifications:
