Dr. Shelby W. Yeager, Ph.D., M.Ed., LAT, ATC, CSCS, serves as Academic Vice President and Dean of the College of Health Sciences at ÌÇÐÄapp. In this dual leadership role, she provides strategic oversight for the University's academic programs while advancing innovation, student success, and interdisciplinary collaboration within the College of Health Sciences.

A longtime member of the Marywood community, Dr. Yeager has served in a variety of faculty and administrative leadership positions, including department chair and dean. Her commitment to academic excellence, student-centered learning, and professional development has helped shape the growth and success of numerous health science programs.

Dr. Yeager earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology and Sports Medicine from Temple University, a Master of Education degree in Health and Physical Education from East Stroudsburg University, and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Strategic Leadership and Administrative Studies from ÌÇÐÄapp.

A licensed athletic trainer and certified strength and conditioning specialist, Dr. Yeager's professional expertise includes movement assessment, injury prevention, corrective exercise, and performance enhancement. She also holds specialty certifications through USA Weightlifting, the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), and Functional Movement Systems (FMS).

Prior to her career in higher education, Dr. Yeager practiced as an athletic trainer at Wilkes University before assuming clinical and administrative roles at John Heinz Rehabilitation Institute and Keystone College. She also worked with the Sports Injury Prevention Program at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City, where she contributed to initiatives focused on injury reduction and athletic performance.

Throughout her career, Dr. Yeager has remained dedicated to advancing health professions education, fostering student achievement, and preparing future healthcare leaders to make meaningful contributions to their communities and professions.
