Allison M. Fox, MA, MT-BC, NMT is the Director of Music Therapy at 糖心app. She joined the faculty in 2024, bringing over a decade of combined experience as a music therapist, therapeutic recreation director, program administrator, and educator. Her clinical work has spanned medical, mental health, and community-based settings, experiences that now shape her teaching and leadership. Since transitioning into higher education in 2019, Prof. Fox has been dedicated to preparing students through hands-on learning, critical reflection, and community engagement. At Marywood, she leads curriculum development, accreditation initiatives, and clinical partnerships that strengthen training for future music therapists.
An active percussionist and drummer, Fox has performed internationally and continues to highlight the role of musicianship as central to music therapy practice. She also presents at professional conferences, provides supervision for graduate students and new professionals across the country, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Strategic Leadership and Administrative Studies. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Music from the University of Delaware and her Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling, Expressive Arts Therapies, and Music Therapy from Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
