ISSUES
My campaign is all about the issues. Here are
my positions on some of the key issues facing our state. As I do
my best to meet each and every resident of the 14th Assembly District,
I look forward to talking about these issues and more. Please
contact me if you have any comments or questions.
Jobs and the Economy
Wisconsin needs to lower the tax burden on small business. We
need to enact policies and simplify the tax code so large businesses
stay and invest in Wisconsin. Strong communities are not built on
the backs of government programs. Strong communities are a result
of citizens in a community having well paying jobs.
Human Life
As the father of two small children, I truly understand the importance
of protecting those who cannot protect themselves, especially the
unborn. I will do everything that I can to support life.
State Finances
Both our federal and state governments have taken on a burdensome level
of debt and there is no end in site. Let's reverse course.
The solution to our budget deficit is not additional taxes and
fees. Many state bureaucracies are wasteful and state programs
unmonitored. Let's stop using last years budget as our
baseline. Let's cut wasteful spending. Let's not hand our
children a bill they do not have the ability to pay for.
Right to Bear Arms
I will fight to protect the constitutional right of our citizens to
bear arms. Weapons should be kept out of the hands of violent
criminals and our existing laws should be enforced to ensure that
violent felons do not have access to firearms.
Taxes
I have signed a pledge not to raise taxes. We can not tax our way
to prosperity. Wisconsin already has the 12th highest taxes in the
country. Higher taxes tell our working families, business owners
and retired citizens that they are not welcome in Wisconsin. Let's
lower taxes and send a clear message that Wisconsin rewards hard work
and entrepreneurship.
Education
Wisconsin has to do a better job of educating our children. I
support school vouchers. We should give our parents the option of
sending their kids to a different school if their school is not
performing. Competition among schools will result in higher
school and student performance and greater accountability in both our
public and private schools.
Voter I.D.
I will propose legislation that requires a valid photo ID for voting.

Dale Opposes the "High Speed" Train
|
|
|
The proposed train is not "high speed." You would get to Madison just as fast, if not faster and cheaper, by driving.
We cannot afford to spend money on the train's operation, maintenance, and the stations along the route.
Our roads and other infrastructure are antiquated and falling apart. We need to save both federal and state tax dollars and put an end to the "high speed" train.
I promise I will do everything in my power to stop additional spending on high speed rail.
